Why choose an apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are open to all age groups above 16 years-old whether you are just leaving school, have been working for years or are seeking to start a new career. You just need to be living in England and not taking part in full-time education.
1
A real wage
Instead of university debt, you can earn an average of £200 per week.
2
A real job
Work in a job placement for at least 30 hours a week and get yourself on the career ladder. Over 90% of our apprentices currently go into permanent work or further training.
3
A real qualification
Receive training to work towards a nationally recognised qualification. Employers think qualified apprentices are 15% more employable.
There are three types of Apprenticeships offered at the College:
Intermediate Apprenticeships (Level 2)
These Apprenticeships are suitable if you are a school leaver or have little or no experience in your chosen area. Level 2 Apprenticeships are equivalent to five GCSEs.
Advanced Apprenticeships (Level 3)
These qualifications are suitable if you have completed a Level 2 Apprenticeship or are already an existing employee with some experience in your job role. Level 3 Apprenticeships are equivalent to two A Levels.
Higher Apprenticeships (Level 4+)
These qualifications are suitable if you have completed a Level 3 Apprenticeship or are already an existing employee with some experience in your job role. Level 4 and 5 is equivalent to a higher education certificate, higher education diploma or a foundation degree whereas level 6 is equivalent to a bachelor degree.
