Where will this course lead?

Hospitality Supervisors work in a range of job roles within the hospitality industry including restaurants, conference centres, cafes, bars etc.

A Hospitality Supervisor provides vital support to management and is capable of independently supervising hospitality services and running shifts. They are able to work under pressure delivering fantastic service.

They will also be able to carry out consultations with customers, demonstrating the professionalism, values, behaviours, communication skills and safe working practices associated with the role.
 

What will I study?

Whilst studying for this qualification you will be developing the knowledge, skills and behaviour that is key to the role.These may include:
- Customer experience
- Driving sales
- Time management
- Hospitality legislation / operational procedures
- Food safety
- Food & beverage
- Developing a professional team

You will also need to complete a vocational competence evaluation log.
This log book will be evaluated throughout your programme and supports your completion of the end point assessment.

When your employer and the College confirm that you have completed the required studies, you will be entered for an end point assessment which includes:
- Vocational competence discussion
- Practical assessment
- Business project

How will this course be delivered?

The apprenticeship programme consists of on-the-job and off-the-job training delivered through college workshops, on-the-job training from your employer, independent study and work-based visits from your assessor.

What qualifications will I get?

Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship Level 3
English and Maths at Level 2
 

How will I be assessed?

The subject units are assessed in a variety of ways including observations, professional discussions, verbal or written questions, assignments, presentations, work products, reflective accounts and witness testimonies.

End point assessment is assessed through:
- Vocational competence discussion
- Practical assessment
- Business project

How do I get a place on the course?

In order to get a place on the course you need to have secured an apprenticeship position with an employer. Apprenticeship vacancies are advertised on our website and you can follow the instructions to apply online. The vacancies provide detailed information about the employer, the job role, location, hours of work and salary/benefits.

What are the entry requirements?

Maths and English Level 1 or GCSE D and above - Working a minimum of 30 hours/37 hours maximum a week

What else do I need to know?

In addition you will develop valuable skills in English and Maths. The minimum required level to complete your Level 3 Apprenticeship is Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths. If you have already achieved this level you will continue to upskill.

What can I do after this course?
