Where will this course lead?

This is a one year, full-time, level 1 programme that includes GCSE English, GCSE maths and vocational studies. Our courses are designed to enable you to improve your skills to progress on to higher level courses.

What will I study?

The course includes GCSE Maths and GCSE English, as well as a Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Vocational Studies. There are a range of different vocational options such as:

- Health & Social Care

- Business and IT

-Sport and Leisure

How will this course be delivered?

You will study up to a maximum of sixteen hours per week over four days. Classes generally run between 9am-4pm but may vary. Timetables will be given to all students during enrolment and induction week.

Vocational Studies Level 1 Introductory Diploma EDEXCEL

GCSE maths

GCSE English

How will I be assessed?

Assessment will include:

- Course work

- Assignments

- Online tests

- Written exams

Assessed by course tutors and verified by an awarding body.

How do I get a place on the course?

Fill out an application form and we will invite you in for an interview.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements. Applicants will be asked to complete an initial assessment in maths and English. You will also be asked for a reference.

What else do I need to know?

If you have a learning difficulty or disability, please let us know when you apply. You will be offered support in your interview. If you need help completing your application, we can help with this too.

You will be required to complete 35 hours of work experience whilst on the course.

You will need to provide all basic stationery including pens, pencils, paper, plastic wallets, folders plus any additional stationery which is required for your course.

There may be additional costs for trips throughout the year, but these will total no more than £25.
