What will I study?

Discover the joy of watercolour painting in this immersive workshop designed for artists of all levels, from complete beginners to those looking to refine their skills. This hands-on session will introduce you to the foundational techniques of watercolour while encouraging you to explore and develop your unique artistic voice.

What You'll Learn:

  • Essential Techniques: Master the basics, including wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, layering, and blending. Learn how to control water and pigment for stunning results.
  • Color Mastery: Dive into color theory and mixing to create vibrant, harmonious palettes that bring your artwork to life.
  • Creative Tools & Effects: Experiment with techniques like using salt, sponges, and masking fluid to add texture and dimension.Personal Style Development: Explore your artistic preferences through guided exercises, discovering how to infuse your personality into your paintings.You will need to provide an A3 watercolour pad or book, watercolour set, brushes, spritzer water bottle and drawing materials. Other materials will be discussed as the course continues.

Course is 2 hrs a week for 8 weeks.

No formal qualification.

Ongoing tutor assessment.

What are the entry requirements?

You must be 19 years or older.
