Where will this course lead?

This will lead to a better appreciation and connection with the natural world, as well as the acquisition of literacy and creative writing skills.

What will I study?

Nature journalling is the practice of observing, drawing and painting, and writing about the natural world in your own personal watercolour sketchbook to create a journal. This offers a way to connect deeply with nature while honing observational skills and creativity.

Through drawings, watercolours, notes and reflections, you will capture details like the colours of a sunset, the shape of a leaf, the behaviour of animals, or observing the weather.  You will work within your own watercolour sketchbook to document your journey.

You will achieve

  • A completed nature sketchbook filled with drawings, watercolors, and observations.
  • Improved skills in sketching, painting, and journaling.
  • A personal practice for exploring and connecting with the natural world.
