What Is Film and Media Studies?

Film and media studies give you the opportunity to develop a range of skills, techniques, and personal qualities essential for employment within any sector connected to the film and media industry including tv, video, social, movies and video games. This can be from an office runner for a broadcasting or film production company to a broadcast journalist or television producer, our courses will help you take your first steps into media areas and follow your own interests within the sector.

Media & Film Studies Entry Requirements

Entry requirements for our different film and media studies and related courses differ depending on the level of the course you wish to enrol on. If you are starting at a level 2 course, 4 GCSEs are required at grade D/grade 3 or above including English Language. Exact entry requirements can be found for each individual course here.

How Our Courses are Delivered

Most of our courses will have classroom-based lessons and workshops alongside practical assignments such as opportunities to audio and camera techniques, making still and moving image products, lighting and broadcasting, location filming, and much more. There is something for all interests and the career path you wish to pursue.
