Lauren Samuels, 22, Former National Diploma Performing Arts student (better known to college staff as Lauren Bonner)!
Lauren left Stratford-upon-Avon College in 2006 and continued to study Musical Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting. Lauren took part in many college productions, including the musical Little Me.
Edward Pinner, Curriculum Area Manager for Performing Arts at Stratford-upon-Avon College said, “We are all delighted to see Lauren doing so well and it is fantastic that her career is going from strength to strength. Her participation in Over the Rainbow will raise her profile to stratospheric levels and many new doors will open for her. Andrew Lloyd Webber and the team seemed very pleased with Lauren’s performance in the first show.
“We have an outstanding reputation for Musical Theatre at Stratford-upon-Avon College – only last month another of our ex-students, Ashley Nottingham, opened in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Love Never Dies’ in London’s West End. Applications for our Musical Theatre courses are growing every year and with more and more former students being so successful I am sure that even more young people will want to come to the college.”
