A Business Administration Apprentice from Stratford-upon-Avon College has secured a full-time job after recently passing her apprenticeship with distinctions.
Having left school, Katie Hall, now 19, was unsure what to do with her future. She knew the traditional educational route of A-Levels and university wasn’t for her and started to look at alternatives.
Katie knew something hands on, with the opportunity to learn and earn, would be ideal for her, and began to look at apprenticeship opportunities.
Understanding that a business administration role would equip her with transferrable skills she could take forward in most sectors, Katie applied for a vacancy with Retirement Security Services and following the interview process, was successful.

Katie is particularly thankful to her employer for the support and opportunities they have provided her by adding variety to her tasks and responsibilities. On the benefits of the apprenticeship, Katie comments: “For me it’s the working whilst learning and to be able to have that routine where you come to work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. You are you are learning the business administration side from the apprenticeship, but you are also learning an organisation. It’s given me a lot of knowledge as to this business and how other businesses run as well.”
Once Katie had completed and achieved her apprenticeship, she was offered a full-time role as business administrator within the organisation.
Katie is a great ambassador for how an apprenticeship can set you up on your career journey. While she is currently enjoying her new role, she is open to the possibility of progression opportunities in the near future.
