Stratford-upon-Avon College has achieved the Ixion quality award at gold level in recognition of its outstanding careers work.
The national Quality in Careers Standard is awarded by Ixion, a Licensed Awarding Body, to education providers who can demonstrate the importance they place on careers and how they support students to make decisions about their life after college.
The College has been assessed and accredited as “fully meeting all the accreditation criteria incorporating the Gatsby Benchmarks” for the national quality award for its careers education, information, advice, and guidance provision.
The Careers Service team continually works to improve the chances and opportunities of all its students and recognises the importance of preparing them for their future professions. Students are introduced to the world of work through a range of activities that aim to help them make decisions about life after college.
Achieving gold shows how the principal, governors, and leadership team at the College embrace, promote, and endorse quality careers education, and acknowledge the part it plays in the overall success of the college and its students.
Careers Service Manager, Alka Prinja, comments: “Achieving gold in recognition of our commitment to our students’ professional careers development is an honour. It evidences the College’s dedication to ensuring our students are receiving advice, practical support, and experience so they are prepared for the next stage in either their professional or educational journey.”
