Stratford-upon-Avon College is excited to launch its brand-new Cabin Crew and Airport Operations course for September 2024.
Following the success of the College’s Travel & Tourism course and the continued interest in this sector, the College have launched a new line of study for prospective students who want to pursue a career in the travel and/or aviation industry.
The Cabin Crew and Airport Operations course is a one-year course which will lead, upon completion, to a Level 2 Certificate in Air Cabin Crew and in Aviation Operations on the Ground.
The course will cover a whole range of topics including the role of cabin crew, airline emergency procedures, and health and safety within aviation, plus will include an array of trips.
Commercial Services Co-ordinator, Jane Pendleton, comments: “We have recently launched a Travel & Tourism programme at Stratford and have received great levels of interest in providing a Cabin Crew/Aviation programme there for next year. This programme will provide students with a solid foundation for working in the industry and will develop their knowledge, skills and employment potential in the aviation sector including cabin crew roles, airport and ground operations and customer service. We have excellent links to industry professionals and also to Birmingham Airport to ensure the students experience the range of opportunities available within the industry.”
She continues: “We arrange a variety of trips and guest speakers to ensure that the students have complete understanding of the various roles available within the industry, with a range of organisations. Moreover, they can build on a range of skills such as interpersonal, team building, organisational, time management, customer service, lifesaving skills, amiability, cultural awareness, assertiveness, leadership, problem solving, maths and English, patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, knowledge of public safety and security and also technical knowledge.”
The course is now open for applications.
