A Musical Theatre lecturer from Stratford-upon-Avon College has released a Christmas song of hope at the end of a tough year for staff and students.
Alex Dengate, who has worked in the Performing Arts department at the College for 13 years, and his wife, Louise, decided to bring comfort to others in the form of a heart-warming Christmas song entitled ‘Hold On’.
Hoping to capture the anticipation and spirit of Christmas, Alex explains how the song came to be: “We were inspired to write the song as we felt we wanted to contribute to the world at this challenging time. Utilising our skills as musicians and singers, we wrote, recorded and released ‘Hold On’ in just 1 week!”
As we bring the year to a close, ‘Hold On’ is a reminder of how resilient staff and students have been and how they have continued to excel in light of a challenging year.
