10th May 2024

A Plumbing student from Stratford-upon-Avon College is celebrating after being offered an apprenticeship following completion of his Plumbing course.

Charlie Beck, 18 from Stratford-upon-Avon, is excited to start the apprenticeship with Keogh & Hows; a specialist plumbing service.

Growing up with his father working as a maintenance operative, and being around that area of work, Charlie knew he enjoyed working in that type of environment. At the end of his time at school the College’s Plumbing course seemed like the ideal next step.

He has thoroughly enjoyed his time on the course and highlighted the quality teaching. He commented: “Mark (Ward, lecturer) has helped me out and really made me know that this is the career I want.”

He continued: “I would 100% recommend this course to others and to come to the College to learn. It has set me up with practical skills so I can hit the ground running in my new apprenticeship.”

Lecturer, Mark Ward, is incredibly pleased with Charlie’s progress: “I am immensely proud; he has got an excellent opportunity and youth on his side. I have seen his potential, and it has been wonderful to see that potential grow. To know that the course has lined the way to his next opportunity, I couldn’t be prouder!”

Charlie is aiming to own his own business in the future.

Congratulations Charlie!
