Students from Stratford-upon-Avon College recently took part in a series of digital wellbeing workshops aimed at building resilience online.
As part of Digital Wellbeing Week, students across the College’s three campuses engaged in workshops led by Digital Wellbeing Specialist and Social Media Resilience Founder Abi Edmunds. The sessions focussed on the impact of social media and strategies for maintaining a healthy digital presence, designed to address the challenges young people face online.

The interactive workshops provided valuable insights into how social media affects self-perception and mental wellbeing. Students were encouraged to reflect on their online habits, and Abi offered practical strategies to help them manage the pressures of social media effectively.
Fathima Ashraff-Ali, Mental Health Lead, praised the initiative, stating: “These workshops have not only empowered our students but have also reinforced the significance of promoting positive mental health and self-esteem within our community. In addition to positive feedback from students, we’ve received feedback from the staff in attendance that these workshops would be useful for them as well.”

Following the success of these sessions, Fathima is now working closely with Abi to develop similar workshop for staff, supporting healthy digital habits for the entire College community.
