Stratford-upon-Avon College is welcoming back prospective students to their first on-campus school leaver open day since the pandemic started in early 2020.
Last year the open events had to take a virtual turn and move to an online platform. These sessions were recorded and can still be viewed on the College’s website if students are looking for an early insight. However, this year, the College will host two on campus events in November; one on Friday 12th from 5.30pm till 7.30pm and one on Saturday 13th from 10am-12.30pm.
There are a range of different courses on offer
Mark Harris, the College’s Schools Marketing and Events Officer, discusses why coming to the open events is useful for students who are making decisions on what to do after leaving school: “Going to an open event is not just a great chance to come and see the campus, but also to find out more about the subject you’re interested in by speaking directly with the tutors who would deliver the sessions. Our tutors here at the College are all industry experts, so can really help students focus on their passion. The event also allows students to speak to as many departments as they like and apply in one visit.”
The College has received huge investment in recent years and prospective students will see some of that at the open event; such as the new state of the art TV studio. The facilities are designed to match what students will find in the industry. Moreover, new courses have been added, such as the Construction skills course, which started this September; meaning there is even more choice on offer for potential students.
There has already been a lot of keen interest in the events, with many students already having pre-registered. If you are interested in finding out more about the College and wish to attend one of the open events you can pre-register here.
We hope to see you there!
