Students studying Performing Arts at Stratford-upon-Avon College were recently treated to a visit from Performers College.
First year Dance, Acting and Musical Theatre students took part in workshops led by tutors from Performers College to give them a look at what classes would be like at a drama school.

The actors participated in an Improvisation workshop led by Jade Samuels, with Sophie Rabot leading the Dance and Musical Theatre students in a choreographed dance number to Legally Blonde’s What You Want.
The students had a wonderful time during their workshops
The session was completed with Jessica Boswell, who is the Applicant Experience and Outreach Manager for Performer’s College, giving a talk to the students about life at Performer’s College and potential course options for when they complete their current studies.

She was incredibly pleased to come and speak to the students since she was a student at Stratford-upon-Avon College herself: “Being a former student, it is great to be back and speak to current students! Our College is local to Birmingham so a good option for current students in Stratford-upon-Avon.”
The students found the day incredibly insightful. Maddy Williams who studies Dance commented: “It was a really interesting and interactive workshop. I haven’t done Musical Theatre songs before so it was great to develop my acting skills!”
Ciiara Baker from Acting added: “It was great how we were able to try out news things and it was really fun!” with Franki Brooks agreeing: “I really enjoyed the improv session and I’m now really interested in learning about higher education courses.”
Thank you to the team from Performer’s College!
